THIS is wearable?

Really, now. Really. This, peeps, is being sold as wearable. This is something I am supposed to covet. In my humble opinion, if I was 15, and Urban Outfitter's website was down, and I was desperate for an outfit that was different, I would still despise this. This is what I get for not paying attention to the website for a few months. I get this. I don't even know how to describe this outfit, but I can tell you, this is probably the most flattering angle. & there are a lot of outfits like this on J.Crew these days. I wouldn't touch it with 40% off. I wouldn't touch this if Charlotte Russe made a knock-off for $24.99. & $248 for this skirt alone, peeps? Do you know what I can get at Ann Taylor for $248? Lots, peeps, lots. & the Hubs wouldn't make fun of it, either. Well... the hubs could. But for damn sure, he would make fun of me less for a teeny fashion faux pas at Talbots or ATL before I don this number.

  1. I agree with you...definitely not a look I aspire to, either!

  2. You are right! My 16 yr. old wanted this skirt, for which I said "Hell no, go to Forever 21!"

  3. Hahaha, I had to laugh! This is a pretty odd look. Sometimes Jenna gets it right, and sometimes the styling just looks like "blindfold the stylist and have her grab a few things and pile it on the model."

  4. the way it is styled has nothing to do with the wearability/likeability of individual garments.

the lace skirt is one item. the gray tights are another item. the tank top/tshirt are other items. the boots are another item.

i almost never pay attention to the way something is styled. i have my own style.

i think that if you can't see beyond the immediate presentation, that's your issue.

the only thing jenna's to blame for is modernizing and moving jcrew ahead and not holding people's style hand.

  5. Anon,
the reason I have my OWN blog is to say what I want, when I want. You sound you have a number of opinions to share, so a word of advice: Go out and get your own blog. Write what you like about your take on style and how much you like looks like this. I'm sure there are peeps out there who share your "style.". This blog, MY blog, is tailored for my likes, wants and obsessions. If I choose to have no style sense, so be it. But I have the courage an conviction to put it out there in a forum I've created. Please don't feel the need to post again. You look silly hating on someone else's space. Or if you do, don't hide behind the anonymous post. Grow a pair and say it loud and proud, without the anonymous title.
