Japan is definitely on-board with the trash recycling, and admirably so. It is an island nation with a finite amount of space and a large population relative to available land. Knowing this, I am happy to recycle. I'm just saying... it can get confusing at times. Voila, my weekly trash schedule.
Trash Schedule:
Tuesday: The Yomitan City Trash Bag Day + Cardboard + Plastic Water/Drink Bottles in Clear Bags
Burnable Garbage IN THE YOMITAN CITY BAGS
Cardboard & branches TIED IN BUNDLES
Newspapers & Magazines TIED IN BUNDLES
Caps & Labels from plastic bottles IN THE YOMITAN CITY BAGS
Plastic Products & Plastic bottles that ARE NOT WATER/DRINK BOTTLES IN THE YOMITAN CITY BAGS
Plastic Water/Drink Bottles IN CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS (Don't forget to remove all labels)
Wednesday: The Clear Plastic Bag Day
Non-Burnable Garbage – need to be in CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS
Cans & Spray Cans – need to be in CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS (Don't forget to remove all labels)
Glass Bottles – need to be in CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS (Don't forget to remove all labels)
Saturday: The Yomitan Trash Bag Day + Cardboard + Plastic Water/Drink Bottles in Clear Bags
Burnable Garbage IN THE YOMITAN CITY BAGS
